Several decorative and prefinished wood veneer sheets - an evolution of TABU Dyed and Multilaminar Wood veneers- are laminated as high pressure panels.

TABU introduces the new collection of  decorative wood veneer sheets: TABU DECOR. The backer can be either paper (Charta Collection) or phenolic impregnated paper (Materia Collection). TABU DECOR sheets are an evolution of TABU dyed and multilaminar wood veneers that, for the first time, are laminated as high pressure and decorative panels.

The new collection is meant to stimulate design creativity mixing natural materials with refined but aggressive colour contrasts. At the same time the prefinished sheets address the need of fabricators for a relatively easy and expedient use of wood veneers. TABU DECOR sheets in fact are extremely versatile, easy and quick to apply. Once glued to a substrate TABU DECOR sheets do not require any further workmanship.

The term “Decor” derives from the Latin word “decorus”, a word associated with beauty, as well as spiritual and aesthetic nobility. “Materia” relates to the Latin usage of this term, which also meant “wood”, in particular “wood used for building”. “Charta” means “paper”, one of the finest materials derived from the wood fibres.

The TABU DECOR collection improves and completes the beauty of TABU dyed and multilaminar wood veneers, with classic tonalities as well as smart colors to reflect the current trends of furnishing and interior design. To pay a sort of tribute to the generally recognised talent of the Italian Style, the 8 names created for the Materia Collection evoke the charm of 8 resorts of Lake Como : Frisè Menaggio, Rovere Bellagio, Mogano Varenna, Rigato Como, Zebrano Mandello, Zebrano Moltrasio, Rovere Laglio e Teak Cernobbio. The names for the Charta Collection were created as “savory” with a little bit of irony to recall the world famous Italian food tradition: Zebrano Cappuccino, Ebano Liquirizia, Frisè Grappa, Bolivar Polenta, Pama Pistacchio, Noce Tartufo, Palissandro Chianti and Wengè Espresso.

TABU DECOR laminated sheets are recommended for interior use only. TABU DECOR sheets can be bonded on most substrates - MDF, particleboard, plywood, etc. – The unique benefits offered by the TABU DECOR collection - dimensional stability, colour uniformity and grain consistency - make these products fit for a variety of woodworking uses.
